Josh Vallance is 11 years old and is already causing a stir in the karting world after taking up driving at the age of 9. Already talent spotted and being supported to follow the same route taken by Lewis Hamilton when winning the F1 World Championship, the Kearns Foundation provided a £250 grant to invest in, and support, Josh and his family in developing his skills safely. The money was used towards purchasing a new safety helmet and neck-brace - essential when karts travel at speeds of up to 50mph.
