October's event at the Best Western George Hotel, Norwich saw over 60 guests sample a champagne, and four wines, with expert advice from Steve Hearnden of Tastebuds Wines, whilst trying their luck in a "Cork Count" game, winning spot prizes and trying their luck in a prize draw before bidding for 12 donated lots in a charity auction.

Donations of goods and services from Park Farm Country Hotel, Hethersett, Dunston Hall Hotel, Norwich, Woodfordes Brewery, Hollywood Cinemas, MaDGiraffe Management & Development, and Alex Kearns Photography, saw frantic bidding.

One special item, a VIP trip for two to visit the BUILD Charity in Norwich to find out more about the work it does with disabled people was the most successful sale of the night with a winning bid of £200 going straight to the charity with the compliments of the Kearns Foundation.

Host for the evening, and Foundation trustee, James Kearns, said "We were delighted, and heartened, by the generosity of our sponsors, and guests on the night ... We aim to put the fun into fundraising and we certainly believe from the feedback we received that people had a good time" he added.

Funds raised will be used to support a new project, details of which will be released shortly by the Foundation.
